Navajo Weaving with Marty Reid
Marty Reid will tell us about her participation in a Navajo Weaving tour sponsored by Loom Dancer Weaving Odysseys that featured a session with the Curator of Ancient Textiles at the Mesa Verde Research Center (CO). The tour included visits to historic trading posts, and weaving with Navajo weavers Lynda Teller Pete and Barbara Teller Ornelas in Canyon de Chelly (AZ).
Himalayan Fiber Tour with Shannon Cunniff
Shannon Cunniff will take us to Northern India where she participated in one of Linda Cortright’s fiber-focused tours. She will share her encounters, weaving and spinning with the semi-nomadic Changpa people who raise Changthangi goats for cashmere; and perhaps another story or two about her experiences in the Himalayas.
