10:00 a.m.

Sara Temme, who will join us via Zoom, is a textile enthusiast, apparel designer, and environmental anthropologist whose work explores the intersection of material culture, ecology and traditional textile practices.

Through teaching, writing and research, she examines how textiles function as cultural material, ecological narrative and social critique, bridging traditional knowledge with contemporary practice.

She is currently pursuing a PhD in applied anthropology with a focus on the ethnobiology of textiles. She will talk about her recent textile work and research interest.

You can find Sara on Substack and Instagram as “The Textile Anthropologist.”
