| Weaving in three dimensions
with Sarah Fortin in the October workshop. |
Our guild show, Windows on Weaving, at the Chandler
Gallery in Randolph was a wonderful success. The show
allowed us an opportunity to display the amazing weavings of
our talented members. It is always fun to see the diversity
of weavings. Congratulations to all the members who won
awards. Thank you to all the members who gave their time
organizing and putting up and taking down the show, as well
as to members who contributed their weavings.
We have some exciting workshops to look forward to this
fall. Takako from Habu, Robin Spady and Charlotte Hamlin
will all be sharing their expertise with us. You can get
more information about our workshops by clicking on
“Calendar” and then on “Workshops.” An important piece of
information regarding the Habu workshop is that since Takako
has a lot of information to share with us, we will begin her
talk at 9:30 A.M. instead of 10 AM. We hope this is not too
much of an inconvenience to all the people who would like to
attend. Please take note that the Habu workshop will be on
the third Saturday of September, September 19th, and Robin
Spady’s three day workshop will be the last week-end in
October.
I wish you all a sunny, warm, and joyful summer filled with
lots of time to weave!
See you Saturday, September 19th,
Toby Goldsmith, VWG President May, 2009

Meeting Notes.... |
from Mary
Schwartz
The morning last month was used to check in work for
the Guild Show. It will be a lot of fun to see it
this month. It’s always a little disappointing that
everyone brings their work but no one really gets to
see it at the April meeting.
Betty Atwood will give a workshop on
inkle loom weaving at the May meeting....
